About Us
Welcome to Canaan Church, a Christ-centred community in Goff’s Oak, Hertfordshire.
We exist to share the love of Jesus, help people grow in faith and build genuine, lasting community.
Founded in 2008, Canaan Church has grown from a small gathering in Tottenham to a warm, intergenerational family where everyone is valued. Whether you are exploring faith, new to the area or looking for a place to belong, there’s a home for you here.

Our Vision
Our vision is simple: to follow Jesus wholeheartedly and help others do the same.
We’re passionate about discipleship, prayer and serving others in love. It’s our desire for all that we do to be guided by God’s Word and shaped by prayer, as we seek to follow Jesus faithfully in everyday life.
Our Beliefs
We are an independent, non-denominational church and proud members of the Evangelical Alliance and Pray Haringey.
Our beliefs are grounded in the Bible and centred on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to demonstrate God’s love through worship, fellowship and service to our community.

Our Community
Canaan Church is more than a Sunday service, it’s a family.
We meet every Sunday at 1pm at Goff’s Oak Methodist Church Hall for a time of worship, biblical teaching and fellowship. During the week, we gather for prayer meetings, Bible studies and youth and young adult groups that encourage spiritual growth and connection.
Our community outreach includes The Sunday Food Pantry and Warm Space, run in partnership with The OK Foundation, as well as regular nursing home visits and support for those in temporary accommodation. Every act of service reflects our heart to love God and love others in practical ways.
